Simone Inns is the founder and principal teacher of Chevron Yoga Centre on the Gold Coast. Involved with yoga since 1994, Simone Inns is a Certified Iyengar Teacher and holds an Intermediate JI level. She travels to Pune India every 2 years to the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute and studies directly under the Iyengars. For the past 10 years she has travelled intensively overseas teaching workshops, retreats and intensives in Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal and New York. Simone has also participated as a guest teacher for national festivals and publications. Aside from regularly teaching the beginner to advance student, Simone has worked with students that have mental health issues, palliative needs, women’s health and students with chronic remedial issues. She has also faced her own challenges with digestive issues. Simone also has qualifications in Health and Nutrition, Social Welfare and Anatomy & Physiology. She is a partner, mother to two beautiful children, and loves her animals – especially time with her horses. Simone surfs and bush walks in her spare time. “My aim is that the student discovers themselves through this wonderful practice of Iyengar Yoga in a stress-free environment. The calmness, joy, self-love and intelligence I see in the growth of students keep me humble, and I am forever grateful to anyone that attends a class”
